It’s a tough pill to swallow, but progress can only happen if you rest, heal, and recover between strenuous workouts. 

Each time you do a dumbbell curl, barbell squat, or another kind of strength exercise, you create micro-tears in your muscle tissue. When those micro-tears repair themselves with proper nutrition and recovery, your muscles heal, grow, and strengthen. 

Without recovery, you risk straining your muscle fibres, which could lead to exhaustion, poor exercise form, and eventually injury. We’re here to push your fitness limits. But to do that, you need to rest.

How We Approach Recovery

Recovery is an essential part of training. Your body needs time to repair itself between workouts, so we roll recovery into each program. This includes stretching for increased mobility, fascial stretch therapy, rolling, massage, and more. We also want to ensure that your sleep habits — your primary recovery method — aren’t hindering your progress. 

Even though it seems counterintuitive to rest when you’re trying to reach specific goals, recovery improves your body composition and helps you get stronger. You want to ensure that your muscles can handle the next workout session, right?

Many of our coaches are pros when it comes to recovery. If you have trouble sleeping, we’ll tackle that concern first with tips to help improve your overnight recovery. In the gym, we’ll provide mobility exercises to keep you flexible and prevent feeling overly sore before your next workout.

Our holistic perspective on fitness makes us stand out. Training, wellness, fitness, or however you want to refer to it, is not simply lifting weights. Your overall health reflects several aspects of your life, including sleep and recovery.

We have the resources to connect you with the best recovery professionals. Get fascial stretch therapy in-house from our certified trainers, or get a referral to phenomenal registered massage therapists. Work hard, recover hard.
